9ff Speed9 based on the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet
Next week at the Essen Motor Show, 9ff will present a new model called Speed9. Based on the 911(997) Turbo Cabriolet it pays homage to the legendary 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster.
First things you will notice is that there are no rear seats giving it a true speedster look, also windshield is shortened and there is a flat cover on the rear instead of the traditional hump, that houses the folding roof.
Handling is improved thanks to new adjustable stabilisers on the front and rear axles, double springs and four aluminium spring plates. Aerodynamic changes include a new front apron, side skirts and a rear apron.
Inside you’ll find special sports seats, alcantara covered dashboard and a new steering wheel.
Bi turbo engine produces 650 horsepower and 890 Nm of torque. 9ff upgraded ECU, added a sports air filter, installed a new sports exhaust system with sports catalytic converter. To get all this power to a full stop 9ff also added a new brake system with 380 mm compound brake discs, 6-piston calipers and new brake pads.
We’ll be bringing you more details next week when Speed9 is officially presented to the public at the Essen Motor Show.
